Brendan Sanchez grew up in a musical family and was completely sold on Traditional Irish Music from his first Tin Whistle as a young child. He would soon expand to the Bodhrán, Highland Bagpipes, Scottish Smallpipes and become an accomplished Sean-nós Irish dancer, winning the Senior Wexford Regional Fleadh Title in that category. While still in highschool, Brendan was an active member of the Irish Fest Youth Choir, with whom he was fortunate to share the stage with popular acts such as We Banjo 3, Gaelic Storm, Eileen Ivers, The Red Hot Chili Pipers and many others. An enthusiastic supporter of the Irish Language, Brendan was the 2020 Recipient of the Shamrock Club of Wisconsin Scholarship and used it to travel to the University College Dublin where he studied Irish and Celtic Studies for a year, with some of his classes involving transcribing and translating Irish Texts that had been digitised into the acclaimed James Joyce Library System. While living in Ireland as an adult, Brendan was honoured to be asked to tour with friends "The Hardest Working Band in Ireland," Ispíní Na HÉireann (The Sausages of Ireland), on their debut tour of the US. Brendan is so excited to share his love and passion for Irish Music and Culture!
