Patrick Roe - Bodhran
Patrick Roe began drumming in his teens, influenced by big band and jazz greats and the best rock drummers. He has studied the bodhran in both the U.S. and Ireland. He was the winner of the 2005 Ward Music Scholarship.
He has played with local, national and international groups and artists to include Americay, Leahy’s Luck, Stone Ring, Frog Water, Different Drums of Ireland, Paddy Keenan, Ceol Cairde, Hammy Hamilton and others. He teaches from the perspective the playing the wee drum should be fun and that students can develop their own style by drawing from a variety of influences and types of music.
